As I reflect on this past year, God’s goodness overwhelms me. I’m in awe of how far we have come this year. With a team of 3 women, we had humble beginnings and brought 20 bags into a Nashville club. The Lord continued to guide us and our team grew by a few each month the first 3 months. We added another Nashville club, and more bags going in. By June, the added club had said no more. We were heartbroken but we knew God is always at work. Even when we can’t see it. In July, we expanded to serve two clubs in Huntsville as well. Our outreach team grew by a few more. In November we expanded to add Chattanooga to the outreach, and we finished the year handing out 1,000 bags for our maiden year. God has been so good. The ladies have been so precious. They are always so eager to visit with us and receive the bags being brought in. It isn’t lost on us that even this is the Lord working. We could face opposition when we walk in the door.
We could feel uninvited. So far, this hasn’t been the case by God’s grace. As I ponder what the Lord has in store for us for 2022, I can’t help but feel hopeful. It is our prayer that the women we are encountering feel the same. Perhaps we can lead them to hope, one little whisper at a time.
