What a year 2020 was for all of us. For me, it was a year of digging roots. It was a year of the Lord restoring to me things the locusts had eaten. It was answers to prayers that had been prayed years ago. Whispers of Hope was one of those answered prayers. In 2016, the Lord planted this outreach in my heart. It took years to cultivate it. To get me ready. To grow me up into the shoes I had been given long ago. It is my honor and privilege to serve the Lord in this capacity. I love people. I love loving on people. Most of all, I love loving on the people Christ instructed us specifically to love on. He knew. He knew we as a society would need the reminder. One of the many lessons 2020 taught us was how quickly a situation can escalate.

Many of us were ordered to stay home, to draw unemployment(perhaps for the first time in our lives), and fully understand what it meant to live day by day. I pray this is a lesson we don’t soon forget. Perhaps as you encounter people from walks of life different than yours, of that which you do not understand, you can glean from 2020 how situations can create a snowball effect and lead people to destinations they weren’t trying to reach. May we love them as Jesus loves us, with grace. With the new year, we have begun our outreach into the clubs. We are thankful for each opportunity to get to know every precious woman better.

We are hopeful for new opportunities at more clubs. Lastly, we are thankful. We are thankful for the lessons and blessings that led us here.

” Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new things, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. ” Isaiah 43:18-19
