Today is Valentine’s Day. A day when American’s will buy 36 million heart shaped boxes of chocolate for their dearly beloveds. As I sit crusty eyed in the silence of dawn in my living room this morning, I am taken back by the goodness of the Lover of my Soul. The Ultimate Sweetheart. I am so loved. It is more than a feeling, it’s a knowing. It’s a belonging. It’s more than any box of chocolates could ever express. “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.” 1 John 3:1 My prayer is that each beautiful soul we encounter will know this same truth.
